The Chinese word for cabbage is "Bai Cai", which means "inviting wealth and prosperity", and is therefore often regarded as a good-luck charm, symbolizing wealth and good fortune. The cabbage's leaves are wrapped in layers, symbolizing family harmony and career advancement. The whiteness of the jade cabbage also symbolizes purity, incorruptibility and noble character.
